Sister Sinister is undeniably beautiful. Her versatility ranges from solid fashion to latex-pinup-kitten. Though it would be considered unwise to be fooled by her pretty face. Sinister Sinister balances her beauty with her intelligance and many growing talents, such as photography, retouching, and pole dancing to name a few. On the surface she is a quiet, radiant beauty, but while she is quiet, she is soaking in knowledge from all corners of the room. She is a kind and giving person. There's literally not a bad bone in her body. It wont be long before she takes over the world. It's always the quiet ones you have to be afraid of.

Sister Sinister

Model of the Month Interview

Tell me a bit about yourself. Who is the girl under the makeup?
Probably just a dorky girl from Stockholm who wants to do and learn everything in this world, haha.
I love my family more than anything and when I'm not modelling or taking photos I try to spend as much time as I can working with trottinghorses, working out and stuff.

Is Sister Sinister a version of yourself?
Yes I think she is. She is the sexy, mystical and dangerous version of me. :) She is who I'd like to be all the time!

How did you come up with that name?
It's actually a friend of mine, Ronnie Berg, who came up with the name during a photoshoot a long time ago. He is also the one that created my logo.

How long have you been a model?
Hmm I did my first "real" photoshoot in the summer of 2006.. But I haven't been modelling on a regular basis until late 2007 i think.

Is this something you always wanted to be when you grew up?
No I didn’t think of it as something I would become. I'm not the typical modeltype so I never saw it as an opportunity. And most of my life I have hated beeing in front of the camera! But I just tried for fun and people seemed to like my pictures and then I just kept going.

You are very diverse in your modeling but you seem to lean towards latex and fetish. Would you say this is a signature look for you?
I have to say yes. That's what I started doing and I think most people think of me as a latex model. I love latex and high heels. And the perfect occasion for dressing up in such outfits is for a photoshoot.:) The beautiful shiny surface of latex really makes the images pop. But I love playing with crazy makeup and do beauty-shots too. I'm starting to add some of those and also fashion pictures in my portfolio now.. I wanna try everything!

What would you say is your personal style as a model?
I would say that my personal style is diverse, but my most recognizable features would probably be fetish fashion, alternative fashion and artistic photos. But apart from which genre I do, you can always count on seeing pictures with lots of attitude.

If you can define alternative modeling, what does this mean to you?
Well, almost anything but the typical tall, skinny model that's posing pretty in a designerdress.:)
I often think that alternative models and pictures has much more spirit to them because you can do so much more creative and interesting stuff than in the regular commercial shoots. And alternative models usually has a special sparkling personality that shines through in the pictures and makes it more fierce.

Would you say that alternative modeling is important to what is going
on today in the entertainment industry?
Well I don't know..but It's getting more and more common to see small alternative features in the typical commercial fashion-industry. It's getting more and more acceptable for good and for worse... It can lead to a bigger market and more opportunities for us alternative models, but if alternative gets mainstream then again, what is alternative? It is a delicate balance.

Where do you get your clothes for your shoots? Is there a designer you'd really love to model for?
I get a lot of it from ebay. Love ebay! But many times I collaborate with different designers that are lending me clothes, like Breathless and Naucler Design. And I also get a lot from my sponsors like Latexa.
There's many designers I'd love to model for so it's hard to pick one! But Atsuko Kudo would be nice for example.

You seem to be quite the busy lady. Tell us what you've been up to lately.
Well I have been doing a lots of shootings for various designers, like the ones I mentioned from Latexa. I have also been working on adding a new gallery to my website to display my fashion and beauty-style pictures. Apart from that I am also travelling around, doing fashionshows here and there. Next show will be in Germany in april for Fetish Evolution. That's what I'm preparing for now. Besides modelling all the time I have too many photos of both me and other models that I'm retouching, takes so much time!

You're not only a model, but word has it you've been working as a photographer as well. Is there anything you can't do?
Well I can't walk on water but that's the only thing I can't do.:P Lol! No but I'm that kind of person who gets bored when nothing happends and I want to learn everything. So when you have spent some years being a model it's very fun to try the other side too. So I have started to work as photographer as well. And I usually do the styling and makeup for my models too. A couple of days ago I actually photographed myself in the studio! In lack of a model...

If someone wants to get into alternative modeling, what is your advice to them?
Just be yourself and try to figure out what you feel most comfortable in doing and what you can do best. It's importent to have your own style and specialties.
And this isn't just for alternative models but: be careful who you work with and never do anything you dont feel comfortable in doing. Other than that, well it's importent to be in good shape and take care of yourself. If you feel good you look good. And a good personality makes a big difference too. People rather work with a happy and inspired model than a moody one.

What's been the most rewarding experience you've had since you began modeling?
Well it's always fun to see your face in magazines and on covers, then you feel like you actually have succeeded. I'm very proud of my feature in Marquis magazine! I have always wanted to be in it.
Other than that shallow stuff I have learnt a lot about myself, I have become more patient and it's more easy now to work with all kinds of people. And it has helped me to become more confident.

What are you future plans?
I have some goals in my modelling that I'm working on to achieve but I keep them secret for now. I'll tell you what it is when it happens! Other then that I'm gonna try to be as happy as I can be and maybe work more with my music.

A fun question. If you could have a dinner party with any 4 people in the world, who would they be and why?
Stig H Johansson, Ozzy Osbourne, My grandfather and Agatha Christie. That would be interesting! People with great and very different stories.

Any final words for your fans?
I really appreciate your support and kind words, thank you! And if you havent checked out my new gallery yet..do that and tell me what you think. Also I think you should come and meet me in Essen in April!
