Bio & Achievements
Anna Ibiza Bäckström is the makeup artistry and hair stylista known as Bissa.
She registered Studio Air in Gothenburg, Sweden 2004 mainly for doing alternative hair styles such as plastic hair extensions, dread falls and dreadlocks. Later on, the amazing texture of Wool came by and that’s one of her favorite materials to work with today. Both to create hairstyles and all over body accessories.
She recieved her makeup artistry certification at Makeup Studion in Malmö 2007 and has since trained in hair styling.
My own interest for make up and hair styling began my experience back in the experimental days of being 16. During the years 2000-2003 I worked in music video projects and short movie productions for Amvision Media and Film I Vast/Gothenburg/Sweden I have always found it most interesting to work with details to create unique flares on to the whole picture itself. My motto and belief is that everything we can imagine is a possible action. No limits.
The past three years I’ve been based in London UK but recently I moved and I’m now based in Berlin/Germany. In London I had the pleasure to work with exclusive photographers Stuart Murchison and Izabela Hapur for Istockphoto.com both as model and for make up/hair and over all styling. Worked at Cyberdog LMT in Camden Town as a Manic Panic Specialist. Makeup for the Valkyrie corsets show at Club Collosseum/London08.
My favorite methods include: character make up, re-modeling of face, special effects such as ageing and skin defects, fantasy, gothic, abstract and other sub-culture styles. That would include jobs for; drag and burlesque make, photographic make up in colour and/or black and white, adverts and covers, performance/theatre/runway and music video/alt. movie productions. I can also do bridal make ups and classic fashion but prefer to work with projects that include more challenge.
